There were three young merchants. They had heard about people making profits going to distant lands. So, they too decided to travel to distant lands and try their luck. They had a long voyage and visited many cities. Unfortunately, they spent more than they earned. There was no profit. Once, while they were walking along a coast, they saw a large ship from a distance. One merchant said, “How great would it be if we could buy such a big ship!” All three saw the ship coming in their direction. They waited for the ship to arrive. When the ship came closer, they realised that it was not a ship but many logs tied together. They felt that they had wasted their time waiting for something that never was and similarly wasted their money as well. They all returned home.
