There lived a poor weaver in a village. The weaver was honest and hard-working. He bought cotton every day and wove it into cloth. He led a simple life. One day, the weaver had left the cotton out in the veranda. The naughty wind blew it away. The weaver ran behind it, but the wind took it farther and farther away. The poor weaver was worried. He had purchased the cotton with his hard-earned money. Finally, the wind stopped blowing. The weaver saw that there was a big heap of cotton. The wind said, “Which cotton is yours?” The weaver replied, “I cannot say which one is mine, but I do know how much is mine. I will take that much and go.” The wind was so pleased with his honesty that it gifted him the entire heap of cotton! Honesty pays. We must always be honest.
