Once, there was an old apple tree in Lily’s garden. As the wind was passing through Lily’s house, he heard the tree groan. He stopped by the tree and asked, “Well, what is the matter with you? Why are you groaning?” The tree replied, “I am getting old and these heavy branches loaded with apples are weighing me down.” The wind thought of helping the tree. So, it blew very hard but the tree cried out, “You are hurting me!” So, the wind decided to do something else. But what? He quietly crept into the branches of the tree. And suddenly, the delicious smell of the apples filled the air and reached Lily’s nose. Lily cried, “Yummy! I can smell the apples. I will go and get some.” Well, of course the tree felt lighter by the time Lily had plucked some.
