An ox ran away from his master. On the way, he met a ram who had also done the same. The ram joined the ox and both continued their journey. Next, they met a cock who had also run away from his master. The cock also joined them. All the three marched on. Suddenly, they met a gander. “May I ask where you are going?” he said. “To warmer parts to spend winter there,” the ox replied. “You had better go back to where you came from. Find your masters and get them to take you back,” said the gander. The three friends thought over this. “We did not leave our masters only to be put back into the yoke again!” said they. They went away and built themselves a nice home. They lived together for many years and made many new friends again.
