There was a snail and her cousin slug who lived in the shade of a cool, damp log. One day the snail came nearer towards a juicy stalk. Her cousin slug saw and soon overtook her. Snail felt offended but when she saw the slug feeding on a juicy leaf, she overtook him and said that he was a sluggish creature. The slug retorted and made fun of her home shell that was on her back. They soon came to know from the ants that the wood lice had eaten the log under which they all lived and so now they had no home. The snail had her head on her back but the slug had no home. The snail comforted the slug and assured him that they would search for a new log to make their home.
