Once, there was a very rich man. Though he was rich yet he wore torn clothes and moved around like a beggar. He believed that there were people waiting to rob the rich, so he pretended to be a poor man to save himself from being robbed. Now, one day, he bought some gold with his money. He did not want anyone to know about the gold, so he dug a deep hole near an unused well and buried the gold in it. Every day, the rich man visited the place and looked at his gold. But one day, the man found his gold missing. He started howling like a child. Seeing him cry, one of the neighbours said to him, “Even when you had the gold, you never really did anything with it other than staring at it.” The man understood his stupidity and went back home sadly.
