The Man from Taured

A conventional-looking young man arrived at Tokyo airport in July 1954. He had a genuine passport and claimed that he came from Taured, shocking officials because there was no Taured in the globe. When asked to indicate his country on the map, he appeared confused as to why his homeland was not in it. His passport had been stamped by many airports around the globe and he possessed different European currencies. Officials placed him in a room with guards outside. When the hotel room was opened, the man had disappeared. It’s a mystery since the room was several floors up, and there was no balcony.
