It was raining terribly. But worse, Dave could not go to school because he had fever. He was getting listless and bored. There was no one to give him company. Father had gone to office and mother was busy with housework. Only, Dave’s dog stayed near him. He knew his master was not well and gave him company. Dave complained, “No one has come to see me.” His mother comforted him, “Do not lose heart. The doctor has told you to take a rest.” Suddenly, the bell rang. It was Dave’s school teacher. He asked Dave, “How are you feeling?” Dave replied, “I am feeling bored.” The teacher smiled and said, “Do not worry. You will get well soon. Look! Your friends have sent you a letter.” Dave was very happy and read the message. It said, “We all miss you. Get well soon!” Dave was too emotional to say anything.
