Everyone was very excited. They all had gathered at the market place to see the parade of the court jesters. John had also come with his parents to see the parade. Soon, the jesters came along. Music was heard. Brass, drums and bells were heard. John could not see the parade clearly as there were many people in front of him, so his father lifted him on his shoulders. Now, John was happy as he could see everything clearly. The jesters looked grand and wore hats with colourful feathers. They were swaying to the music. Soon, oranges were being thrown everywhere by the jesters. John became delighted. Suddenly, he saw a jester looking at him and threw an orange at him. John was very happy and caught the orange. It was the best day of his life.
