Once, there were some dogs. They used to eat leftover food. One day, they were very hungry and could not find anything to eat. They kept searching here and there. Soon, they came upon a stream. There they saw a number of hides at the bottom of a stream where the tanner had put them to soak. The dogs got excited to eat the hides. But there was problem. The water was deep and the dogs could not reach the hides from the bank. So, they decided that the very best thing to do was to drink up the river. When the stream would dry up, they would eat the hides. They started drinking the water. They kept drinking and drinking but the stream did not dry up. Ultimately, the dogs’ stomachs were full of water and they were not hungry anymore.
