In the middle of the night, one of the fairies got up and looked at the brocade. She loved his mother’s brocade so much that she wanted to be a part of it. So, she embroidered a picture of herself in the widow’s brocade. In the morning, the youngest son took the brocade and rode off back home. The widow was happy to have her brocade back and she immediately healed. Together, they carried the brocade outside and unrolled it. The picture sprang to life.
The youngest son and the fairy fell in love and got married. They had a new home to live in. Then, one day the two eldest sons who had become beggars came upon a lovely white house. When they got to know that it was their mother’s, they turned away in shame.
