One day, a mother crab saw a crane and her baby were walking together. The mother saw a crane and thought, ‘How gracefully the crane walks!’ After a while, the mother crab said to her baby, “Why do you bend towards one side when you walk? You look much better when you walk straight and forward.” The young crab said, “It might be quite true. But, I do not know how to walk straight. So, please teach me how to walk straight and I will follow you.” His mother readily agreed to show him to walk straight. But when she actually tried to walk straight, she could not. She tried and tried but finally gave up. Exhausted, she told her son, “Please continue to walk the way you do. I am sorry for asking you to walk straight when I myself could not walk in a straight manner. It was so foolish of me!”
