Once, a jackal was looking around for some food in the jungle when he saw the lion. The jackal was scared of the lion, for he had played many tricks on the lion. He was sure that the lion would take his revenge. So, the jackal thought of a plan. “Help!” he cried. The lion looked at him in surprise and said, “Why are you crying, cunning jackal?” The jackal replied, “Do you see those rocks above us? They are about to fall. We will be crushed to death! You are so strong. Do something.” The lion was greatly flattered by being called ‘strong’. He quickly put his back to the rocks as if holding them. The jackal said, “Thanks! I will go and get help.” With that jackal ran away. The poor lion realised that the jackal had tricked him once again.
