The Bird in the Sky

It was a very pleasant morning. The sun was shining brightly. Bob decided to go for a stroll. Soon, he was on his way. The walk was good with the fresh air and sounds of birds chirping. Bob looked around to see from where the sound was coming. Then he looked up in the sky. He saw a bird in the sky. It was chirping cheerfully. Bob could not remember its name. Suddenly, he saw Mr. Gregory coming his way. Bob called out to him and asked, “What is that bird in the sky?” Mr. Gregory answered, “It is the skylark. It circles the sky and when it has finished its singing, it dives straight to its nest. Its nest is nearer the ground. The French call it the Alouette.” Bob thanked Mr. Gregory for the information and walked home.
