Stars in the Sky

When we look at the sky at night, we see millions of stars shining in the sky. They appear small to us because they are millions of miles away from us. They are great balls of gases. Stars form their own patterns. We can easily recognize some of them. The Great Bear is made of seven stars in the shape of a cart. The brightest star in the sky is the North Star. Sometimes, you may have noticed bright and shiny stars going across the sky. These are shooting stars. They travel at a great speed. But these shooting stars are not stars. They are pieces of rock travelling through space. They burst into flames when they come in contact with the atmosphere. It is said that you should always make a wish when you see a shooting star.
