The purple tiger albino tegu is a selectively bred morph of the gold tegu. This sturdy lizard is 2 to 3 feet long and covered in glossy scales. The alternating black and gold stripes resemble the stripes of a tiger. They love burrows and thrive in savanna and tropical forests near a water source. They feed on insects, lizards, birds, fish and fruits.
