A strange looking frog, the purple frog looks bloated and has a pig-like snout and a small indistinct head. They have shiny smooth skins with short, partially webbed toes. The hind leg is adapted for burrowing as they are happy living inside burrows eating their termites. They love moist forests and come out only twice a year to breed.
