Litlanesfoss

Litlansesfoss

Litlanesfoss is a breathtaking waterfall located on the eastern side of Iceland. This stunning waterfall stands out because of the strange-looking hexagonal rock formations through which the water flows and ‘falls’. Fed by the Lagarfljót Lake, the Litlanesfoss waterfall gushes forward on unique hexagonal pillars that were created more than 60 million years ago with the rapid cooling of the basaltic magma.
