The circus was in town. “I will join the circus,” said Bob Bear to his friend Tum Rabbit. “I will walk the tightrope,” said Bob. He leapt on the clothes line and walked. But suddenly, he lost his grip and fell. Tum laughed at this. “Oh, well,” said Bob Bear, as he picked himself up, “Perhaps I will juggle instead.” Bob Bear brought some crockery. He whirled the cups and twirled the plates. But suddenly, the cups and the plates crashed down. Tum laughed again. Bob Bear said, “Now I know the right job for me.” Quickly, he ran indoors. Tum waited patiently for Bob. It wasn’t long before he was back. Tum laughed when he saw Bob, for he was in a clown’s dress. Tum said, “You make a perfect clown!” Bob too laughed and said, “I made you laugh, so I can make anybody laugh.”
