Harvesting Time

Peter was extremely excited. The corn was ready to be harvested. Mr. Wally, the farmer, had promised Peter that he would let Peter help him when he cut the corn. So, Peter reached the field. Mr. Wally started the harvester. The blades started turning, cutting down the corn, ready to go into a threshing machine to separate the grains from the chaff. The noise of the harvester was deafening and the animals and the birds ran here and there scared. Peter told Mr. Wally to stop the harvester. Mr. Wally did so but asked, “What is the matter?” Peter said, “There is a hedgehog in front of the harvester.” He picked the hedgehog up and showed it to Mr. Wally. Mr. Wally asked, “What are you going to do with it?” Peter answered, “I am going to keep it in my house. It will eat up all the insects at home. It is better than leaving it here.”
