Green anoles are bright green to yellow lizards living on trees with sticky toes for climbing. The male sports a pink flap of skin under the neck, called dewlap, which it flares to attract females. Highly territorial, it bobs its head and flares the dewlap on seeing another male or even its own reflection. They eat insects and live for 70 years.
