Geothermal Energy

The word ‘Geo’ means Earth and ‘thermal’ means heat. Deep inside the Earth, the temperature is very high. Due to this high temperature, the rocks are in molten state. When water present under the ground comes in contact with these hot molten rock spots, it gets converted into steam. And hot springs are formed. This energy can be used for generating electricity.
