Once, a duck and a swan were best friends. And so were their daughters, Missy Duck and Juju Swan. Every day they played together. One day, the two were playing hide-and-seek. While Missy was hiding among the plants, a bad fox crept up and carried her in his mouth! Missy could not cry out for help but Juju saw the fox carrying Missy. Without hesitating, she rushed after the fox and caught the tip of his tail in her sharp beak. Then, she pecked him hard on the nose. The fox’s mouth dropped open and Missy fell out. The miserable fox ran away. Missy was very grateful to Juju. She said to Juju, “If you had not been there, the fox would have eaten me. Thank you, Juju. You are very brave.” Juju replied, “Do not thank me. That is what friends are for.” And their mothers were very proud of them.
