It is a cross between a wallaby and a rat. A marsupial delivers after 21 days. It has a pouch in which its baby stays for 98 days. They are greyish-yellow in colour, with prehensile tails used as limbs to carry bundles of material for nest building. They eat fungi unlike other mammals, along with tubers, seeds and resin.
