Beckett was a nice girl. She lived in her own world of thoughts. She had many dolls and toys, she loved to play with. Now she longed for a pet. She imagined the fun she would have playing with her pet. She thought life would be wonderful in the company of a pet. One day, she was sitting in the garden when she saw a small imp. “Hello, would you like to be my pet?” asked Beckett. “I would love it,” said the imp. So, Beckett happily took the imp home. But the imp was restless as the evening grew. “What is it?” asked Beckett as the imp became fidgety. “I want to go and play,” said the imp. “But it is tea time,” said Beckett. The imp refused to listen and ran out. Beckett realised that bringing a pet home was easier than keeping it there!
