It was the rainy night of thirty-first October, the time of Halloween, a festival of witches and ghosts. Ron and Harry were walking home. On their way, they entered a house and pushed open the main door. They saw colourful lights reflecting from the mirror. Suddenly big hands with long nails emerged from the mirror and caught hold of Harry’s neck with one hand and Ron’s neck with the other. The hands dragged them to another dark room. There were many witches, monsters and ghosts in the room. They all were dancing and drinking a special brew. Ron and Harry were first very scared but soon they forgot their fear. They joined the party and danced until dawn. The witches and the monsters then bade good-bye and promised the boys “See you next year” and they disappeared.
