Anna and Annabelle loved sports. They did not miss any sporting event opportunity in the school. They were training for a running competition in school. They practised every day for many months. Anna and Annabelle were competitors because they were participating in the same event. Competitors are not enemies. They should interact and speak to one another. Though Anna and Annabelle practised together yet they never spoke to each other. On the day of the race, Anna ran well, and won the race. Anna was happy but Annabelle was unhappy. Annabelle was disappointed at not having won, but she went to congratulate Anna on her win. Anna was surprised and impressed with Annabelle. She had never seen anyone who had lost the race behave so sportingly. Anna said, “Thank you, Annabelle. We may win and lose many races, but with your sporting spirit you will always win hearts and make friends.”
