Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the largest airport in the world. It is an international airport located 7 miles (11 kilometres) south of Atlanta’s central business district, in the US state of Georgia. It is also called Atlanta Airport. It has been the world’s busiest airport by number of passengers and number of landings and take-offs since 2005. It is named after former Atlanta mayors William B Hartsfield and Maynard Jackson.
