Hair is the fastest growing tissue in the body. Different people have different types of hair. Some have straight hair, some have wavy while some have curly hair. If a strand of hair is cut and observed under the microscope, we observe that hair has a definite shape. Whether the hair is curly or straight depends on this shape, the flatter the shape, the curlier the hair. Oval-shaped hair produces wavy and curly or silky smooth hair. The type of hair depends on the genes, too. For example, a child can inherit curly hair from the mother, father, uncle, aunt or grandparents.
