The pirate crew was excited. They had found a treasure map. Captain Perry was hunting for the treasure for a long time. There was an ‘X’ marked on the map. It was six steps from a rock. Cabin boy Roy was excited and thought, ‘I wish I could get just one ruby.’ On the beach there was a big rock, just as the treasure map said. Captain Perry took six steps. They started to dig a hole. They dug and dug and dug but there was no treasure. They were all fed up. Then Roy looked at the map and said, “Captain, I think the map might be upside down.” Captain Perry looked at the map again and said, “I think you might be right!” The pirates dug a new hole. And lo! There was a treasure chest inside. Captain said, “Thanks Roy and as a reward, you can have a dozen rubies!”
