Once, a farmer grew a huge watermelon and decided to present it to the king. Now, the king had a habit of disguising himself and taking a walk through his kingdom. He saw the huge watermelon and asked the farmer for it. But the farmer refused. “What are you going to do with it?” asked the king. “I am going to present it to the king,” replied the farmer. “But what if the king doesn’t like it?” asked the king. “Then he may he go to the devil,” replied the farmer. The amused king left. Next morning, the farmer went to the palace. He recognized the king immediately but pretended otherwise. He gave the melon to the king. The king said, “I do not like it?” “Well…in that case…you already know my answer!” said the farmer. The king laughed and rewarded the farmer for his intelligence and wit.
