A poor boy called Aladdin lived with his mother. One day, a man visited their house saying he was Aladdin’s uncle. But he was a bad magician. He took Aladdin to a cave in the desert. There he said to Aladdin, “Go into the cave and find an oil lamp. Then give it to me.” When Aladdin entered the cave, he saw many wonderful things there. But he only looked for the lamp. Soon, he found the lamp and cried, “I have the lamp.” The magician said, “Give it to me.” But Aladdin was clever. He said, “Take me out of the cave first.” The magician got angry at this and left Aladdin in the cave. Aladdin got scared but by mistake he rubbed the lamp. Suddenly, a genie appeared before him and asked, “What can I do for you, master?” A shocked Aladdin said, “Take me back home.” The genie did so. After that, Aladdin used the lamp whenever he wished to and became very rich.
