One day, a bull was chewing cud. A gnat came buzzing. She wanted to take a rest. She saw the bull and thought, ‘I can rest on the bull’s horn for a while.’ So, she settled on one of the bull’s horns. The bull had no feeling that somebody was sitting on his horn. While the gnat sat quietly, the bull continued chewing the cud. The gnat sat there for a long time. Then she said to herself, ‘I have rested enough. It is time to fly away.’ But before she left, she went near the bull and said, “I hope I did not disturb you. You must be glad that I am leaving now.” The bull replied, “It does not matter whether you go or not as I did not know you had come, so I shall not miss you when you go away.”
