Nathan, a young boy, loved listening to stories. But he hated reading the stories. Every week, the postman brought Nathan’s favourite magazine. The magazine carried adventurous stories. He would love the magazine and ask everyone to read some stories out of it. He got this week’s magazine today. He ran to his mother, requesting, “Momma! Please read out the stories to me.” “Not now, Nathan. I am busy cooking.” Nathan was disheartened but thought he would ask his elder sister and brother to read out the stories. So, he went to his sister and brother but they also refused, “Nathan, we are studying. You are big enough to read on your own.” Nathan sighed, “No, listening is more fun!” But no one read out the stories to Nathan. “I will try reading the stories on my own,” Nathan decided. Nathan started reading on his own. Soon, reading became fun to him.
