It was the king’s birthday and hence everyone was showering him with expensive gifts. One of the jealous courtiers noticed that Tenali was missing and complained of the same saying Tenali was a miser.
It made the king angry. After a few hours Tenali came to the court and wished the king giving him a pot of flowers with differently coloured flowers.
The king was overjoyed and asked him how he knew the king wanted that. To this, Tenali replied that he remembered that once on their trip to Bharatpur the king had loved these flowers and had expressed his wish to grow them in the royal garden.
So, to fulfil the king’s wish, he went to that forest in order to bring him the flowers. The king was happy and rewarded Tenali again.
