Teddies and Teddies

Teddy bears, Teddy bears, Teddy bears! Jack loved teddy bears. His room was full of teddies of all shapes and sizes. When asked what he would like for his birthday or any other special occasion, Jack always asked for a teddy bear. But his parents would say, “Not another bear. There is no room for more!” So, Jack’s father made shelves on his bedroom wall, and a row of bears sat neatly on each one. The next day, there was a fair in Jack’s school. Mother gave him some money to buy anything he wanted. When he came home, Mother asked him, “What did you buy?” Jack gave a mischievous smile. “Not another bear!” sighed Mother. “But there is plenty of room now,” replied Jack. Mother just gave up and went away. So, Jack put his new teddy bear up on the shelf with the other teddy bears.
