The Split Pinnacle is an interesting rock formation in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, in Hunan, China. The Split Pinnacle with its towering cliffs looks like it would topple over with the wind. However, this incredible tower stands tall and imposing to the south of the middle reaches of the River Yangtze. This rock tower is one of the 3,000-odd quartzite sandstone pillars that along with ravines, gorges, streams, pools, waterfalls and caves form the Wulingyuan scenic area.
