Once, a naughty boy named Pebble fell into a river. The Mermaid Queen saved him. Pebble was so mesmerised by her that he did not want to go back to his land. Now a boy could not live in the kingdom of mermaids. So, he begged the Queen to make him a merman with her magic. The Queen granted his wish. Pebble became a merman but he remained a boy in his heart. He splashed the water while mermaids swam. He plucked water flowers from their water garden. He pulled their tails without any reason. One day, all the mermaids complained to their Queen about him. That night, when Pebble was sleeping, the Queen used her magic and changed him back into a boy. She also erased all the memory of mermaid land from his mind and left him on land. When Pebble woke up, he felt as if he was being punished but he did not know the reason.
