It has black fur on ears, eye patches, a muzzle, legs, and shoulders with the rest of the coat being white. It stands 2-3 feet tall at the shoulder, weighs 220-250 lb, and has a life span of 30-35 years. Females give birth to two young, usually only one survives, after a gestation of 95 and 160 days.
