Our National Flag is also called the tricolour. It has three colours. The three colours of the tricolour are saffron, white and green. The saffron colour is at the top, white colour in the middle and green at the bottom. The saffron colour stands for courage and sacrifice. White stands for peace and truth. Green stands for prosperity. There is a wheel of navy blue colour at the centre of the white part. The wheel has twenty-four spokes. The wheel is taken from the Lion Capital of Ashoka at Sarnath. It symbolizes continuous movement. We should keep on moving like a wheel, come what may. Rain or sunshine, we should never shirk our work.
