They have a coat of reddish-brown, and black hairless face. They spend most of their time on trees, and have a diet consisting of fruits, bark, honey, insects and other vegetation. The female orangutan gives birth to a single offspring after a gestation period of 9 months, and has 8 years’ interval between two births.
