There are more than 60 different species of an opossum. They have white and grey fur. They measure 76 cm in length, weigh between 4-6 kg and have a life span of 2-4 years. Opossums are omnivorous scavengers. They have opposable thumbs called ‘halux’, on their feet (like toes). They have fifty teeth. It can play dead when threatened and can remain like this for four hours!
