Once, a man found something irritating his throat. He coughed loudly and a bird’s feather came out of his mouth. The man was surprised. He told his wife about this and warned her not to tell anyone about it. His wife told him that she would not tell anybody. But she could not control herself and told her neighbour about it. Her neighbour told her friend but she gave another version. She said, “You know the man spitted out several feathers from his mouth.” The friend told someone else. But this time, the version was that the man had spitted several birds from his mouth. Soon, the whole village was abuzz with the talk of the man who had spitted out birds from his mouth. People collected outside his house to see him. The man was so fed up that he ran away and came back only when the rumours had died down.
