Martin was a kind-hearted boy. He loved birds. He was very kind towards them. He always fed them with kindness. Crows and sparrows came to his terrace. He never forgot to give them the pieces of food. One day, Martin saw a beautiful brown swallow hop on to his terrace. Martin had left bread crumbs for the birds to feed on. The swallow saw the bread crumbs he had left and ate them. Then, it hopped towards Martin and said, “Martin, thank you so much for the tasty bread crumbs.” Martin was surprised. “You can talk. How do you know my name?” asked Martin. “All the birds know your name and they told me about your kindness. I am a magic swallow, so I can talk to humans,” said the bird. Martin was thrilled. He had never imagined that his kindness would make birds his friends!
