Prince Albert loved to read magical stories about fairies and elves. Every evening, his nanny took him to the royal garden where he played and read his favourite fairy tales. One evening, Albert was playing in the garden while his nanny read a book. Just then, he saw a beautiful fairy with shiny wings amongst the flowers. Before he could talk to the fairy, she wove an amazing silver web in the flowers and vanished. Albert was so excited that ran to his nanny and told her all about the web. She laughed and said, “Oh my little prince, it was probably just a spider that wove the web.” “But nanny, I saw the fairy! She had the most beautiful wings,” cried Albert. “Fairies exist only in magical stories, my prince,” said his nanny. Prince Albert did not argue. He thought, ‘Most people do not believe in magic. That is why they cannot see it. Otherwise, magic is all around us!’
