Lymphatic System

Lymphatic-System

The lymphatic system is simply referred as the drainage system of the body. It collects the excess fluid from the tissues in the body and returns it to the blood system or the central circulatory system. The lymphatic system is well equipped with vessels. It supports the immune system.

The major parts of this system are: lymphatic capillaries and lymph nodes, tonsils, thymus gland and spleen. This system carries bacteria and dead blood cells that are to be destroyed, to the lymph nodes and the spleen. This network collects the water within the blood plasma, which gets forced out during the passage of the blood through the capillaries.
