A hunter dug a pit to catch an elephant. But while chasing a deer, a lion got trapped in the pit. When the hunter came to see the pit, he saw a lion in it. He was very scared. He was about to run away when he heard the lion’s pleading voice, “Please save me, I shall always be grateful to you.” The kind hunter trusted the lion and pulled him out of the pit. The lion thanked the hunter and went his way. A few months passed by. The hunter fell very ill and had nothing to eat, as he could no longer hunt. The lion came to know about the condition of the hunter. He remembered his kindness. He came to the hunter and asked him if he could help him. The hunter was very touched and started crying. The lion brought him fresh meat and fruits from the forest. The kind hunter thanked the lion for his kindness.
