Jacob ran as fast as he could and once he felt that he was safe from his brother’s anger, he sat down to rest. He kept his head on a stone and slept. He dreamt that the stone that he was sleeping on was a step that led from earth to heaven. Then he saw many angels were walking down and he heard God’s voice Who told him that the land he was resting now would be gifted to him and he had great things to do for the nation. God promised that He was with him, and would do everything for him. Jacob knew that God was with him and he was happy with it.
