Conservation status : Near Threatened

Living in forests and woodlands is the third longest snake in the world, i.e. Indian python. It grows 20 feet long. It lives on trees and is well camouflaged with its tan skin colour. They always live near a water source and constrict their prey by coiling around them till they die. They live for over 20 years.
