It was a nice day. Jasmine and Fred were very excited. They were going to the beach. They had never been to a beach before but they had heard a lot about it. Soon, they reached the beach. They made a big sandcastle. Fred put a flag on the top. They decorated it with seaweed and shells which they found on the beach. Finally, it was time to go home. But they didn’t want to go home. They played a bit more in the sand. Then, Mother came to pick them up. She told them, “We can take a bit of the seaweed with us.” She took a shell and said, “Put it to your ear and tell me what you can hear.” The children were surprised as they could hear the waves. The excited children took the shell home. Whenever they wanted to hear the sound of the waves, they would put the shell near their ears.
